Who we are

William J. MacDonald is a graduate of Aquinas Institute and St. John Fisher College. After completing a Masters Degree and obtaining his Juris Doctor in 1978 in New York City, Bill moved back to Rochester with his wife and children. After 4 years of general practice as an associate attorney, he established an expansive client base and moved forward as a sole practitioner. He has now been practicing for 40 years with extensive experience in Real Estate, Business Law, Probate and Estate Law and all phases of Civil Litigation including Personal Injury trials and Appellate Review. After 17 years at several downtown locations, sharing space with larger firms, prime office space became available at the convenient Browncroft Blvd. location in Penfield.

Moving forward


William J. MacDonald moved the practice out to Penfield in 1995. We now have a convenient parking lot with a stand-alone building and an intimate setting with the same person that has greeted clients for the past 35 years. Our attorney and his staff have a strong work ethic and mutual respect for one another that keeps our clients coming back and referring their family and friends.
